a shopping Prayer…

While surfing that info-filled web today, I came across the best little poem/prayer on a blog called Fashion Salad and I just loved it. As many of us are rushing around in hellacious traffic to try and find those last minute holiday gifts, I think we should all say a prayer to ensure our safety and shopping success before heading out:
“A Prayer before you go shopping…”
“Armani…
Who art in Holts
Hallowed by thy shoes
Thy Prada come
Thy shopping done
On Bloor Street
As it is in Paris
Give us this day, our Visa Gold
And forgive us our balance
As we forgive those who charge us interest
Lead us not into Wal-Mart
And deliver us from Sears
For thine is the Chanel
The Gaultier, and the Versace,
For Dolce and Gabbana…….Amex.”
Isn’t that just the best? The Prayer is supposedly Canadian, though I am not sure who originally came up with it, but I would like to thank the lovely people at Fashion Salad for sharing it. It is glorious. Now, before you head out to do that shopping — don’t forget to say your prayers!
