tropical escape

December 19th, 2006

If you are a resident – or even just visiting – the beautiful state of Colorado, at this point, you are probably wishing that you were stranded on a tropical island somewhere - drinking pina coladas.  I realize my continuously gray state of Indiana has yet to see a blanket of thirty inches of snow, but I can’t help but think that I’d like to be right there with those residents of Colorado with my own cocktail.  The holidays will soon be over and what the people of Indiana can expect is a dreadful three month period of cold, bland, dark weather.  This only makes me want to escape even more.  I decided to go ahead and daydream vacation today and found the perfect bag to accompany me on my “trip!”
guccibag
The entire Cruise line from Gucci really does have a fabulous “leaving for my tropical vacation,” feel.  I picked this Positano medium tote mainly because of the size and accent color…not to mention the fact that it is a Gucci bag!  I feel that green is truly my “signature color,” and the size is perfect for vacationing.  The 15.6″L x 5.1″W x 12.2″H deminsions allow plenty of room for the essential sunglasses, digital camera, sunscreen and pamphlets choc-full of local attractions.  The bag has an overall tropical feel, as does the rest of the line - if it happens that green is not your signature color.  My tip for surviving this winter…daydream shop!  Picture yourself partaking in your favorite escape and go find the perfect handbag for the occasion.  You may just open your eyes to find Spring.
