Once the warm weather is upon us it seems everyone’s focus shifts to getting lean. Doesn’t matter if you have 2 pounds to loose or 20, everyone is interested in looking their best in those itsy bitsy yellow polka dot bikinis! I, myself, am usually at the forefront of this battle but not this year, however, due to the small child taking up residency in my belly. Still, it is out of sheer routine that my body has begun to crave vegetables, fruits and salads over the comfort foods such as mashed potatoes that we love in the colder months. I have been on a strawberry and angel food cake binge the past few days and started to wonder what other yummy lite bites existed out there that I might be able to pass along to those who can do something about those few extra pounds this season.

ber gorgeous and tiny Giada De Laurentiis will be motivation in itself. No way she eats all that pasta and cream sauce she is always whipping up on her show! For those who, like me, have a sweet tooth, I found a killer recipe for Strawberry Layered Angel Food Cake (pictured) that even uses Splenda as opposed to sugar. It was created by the people at Hydroxycut and it should be noted that I do not promote the use of this product. No ma’am. You pair any of these recipes with some good ole’ fashioned exercise and you are sure to be bikini ready in no time!
