Kate Moss for Topshop

May 1st, 2007

After reading a piece at people.com that told the tale of a young fashionista who actually attended the launch of the Kate Moss line at Topshop in London (and was nearly slaughtered by women falling over themselves for the stuff), I simply had to get over to their site and check out what all of the fuss was about.  I quickly noticed that the buzz has yet to cease.  Note the disclaimer at the top of the page that claims they will only allow the purchase of 1 of each style and a grand total purchase of no more than 5 items in the entire collection.  In other words, Kate Moss for Topshop is to fashionistas as the Ninetendo Wii is to intense gamers!  After browsing the collection, I quickly decided that purchasing 5 of these items would provide no difficulty and at prices that aren’t bad, either.  Here were my faves:
dress
With the warm months upon us, dresses are a must and her Muscle Back Dress looks uber comfy and chic at the same time.  I love the slate-ish gray color of it and think it would allow for some major funky accessorizing!
jacket
This Fitted Jacket? amazing!  Cropped jackets are so very in right now and this is the kind of jacket one could literally throw over an old tshirt and worn out blue jeans to create a sylish and edgy look with literally no effort!
hotpant
Let’s face it with legs like Kate Moss has, who didn’t expect to see a hot pant in her collection?  I love these funky Striped Hotpants.  They have a vintage look to them that makes them even more cute.
glasses
I do love these Aviator Sungalsses as well.  The leather detail at the top is different from a ton of other sunglasses that are out there and the look of them is super casual and cool.
