A Magnificent Memorial Day

May 29th, 2007

I love the month of May; the weather is always nice out, all the summer time festivities start to heat up, and best of all the Memorial Day sales allow me to update my closet without feeling mortally guilty about it.  This time around was a bit different, though, because as in years past I didn’t have to walk hundreds of miles to the mall for a lack of parking spaces, wait hours in line behind frenzied fashionistas, or scurry through a chock-full mall lugging dozens of shopping bags behind me.  I simply sat down in front of my home computer with a fresh cup of ice tea, and enjoyed the view.  My most prized buy of the day was a scrumptious ensemble from Victoria’s SecretI purchased Christie Fit Cuffed Flare bottoms in Victoria’s legendary rosebloom hue.  I then went ahead and splurged for an adorable black Fitted Square Neck Top to go with the bottoms and to tell the honest truth with those prices it didn’t feel like splurging at all!  I’ve become a Victoria’s Secret habitué; not only do they have the most chic pieces, but they have made a phenomenal breakthrough in online purchasing.  The extremely user friendly size charts available make it nearly impossible to order the wrong size- what more can a girl asbalgagank for!  This Fab ensemble accentuated with Sergio Rossi snake skin sandals will have all the girls drooling at your next office meeting.  Speaking of Sergio Rossi, I’ve heard that director Edmundo Castillo has designed two limited edition shoe styles of which only sixty pairs will be produced.  The shoes will feature a plaque on the arch of the sandal that will acknowledge its uniqueness.  It was one of these two designs that were auctioned off at the 14th Cinema Against AIDS gala earlier this month in the Fashion Show Package that sold for $200,000.  Of the two designs one will be a Metallic Mule Sandal embellished with floral detail available in gold or silver tones priced at $645.  A Rossi limited edition for only $645 it seems that they have already gotten into the giving spirit this year!
