It seems like just yesterday Michelle Sanders had joined Prada to fill the newly developed position of U.S. President of Miu Miu.
In which she was responsible for tending to all of Miu Miu’s American business alongside attempting to promote the growth of the brand considering it had been making tenacious efforts to establish its own presence apart from the Prada logo. Now only a few months later she is leaving Prada once again to join Donna Karan International. Sander’s has been appointed to the recently created position of Senior Vice President of Donna Karan Collection accessories. Michelle Sander’s primary duties will include the constructing of an accessories team to propel the company’s presence in the market. Unofficially, the changes in Donna Karan International hint that the company has planned a grandiose endeavor for which I anxiously await. We only hope that she sticks around this time, but as the past has made known Prada should be expecting another return here shortly!
Donna Karan International is not the only trademark making new additions to their corporate team- Balenciaga has recently allotted a new CEO to head the brand.
Isabelle Guichot accepted the offer and was due to replace former CEO, James McArthur, earlier this month. Guichot has her work cut out for her considering that she will be fulfilling the duties of her new position while carrying out her old responsibilities as the CEO of Sergio Rossi until Didier Bonnin, Gucci Group’s nominated successor for Guichot joins the team in mid June. Isabelle has some big shoes to fill as James McArthur has proved himself to be a most valuable asset to the Group as Robert Polet, himself, thanks McArthur for “leading Balenciaga to profitability two years ahead of the Group’s schedule.” With designer Nicolas Ghesquiere by her side I’m sure we can expect great things.
