Disney Does Glam
June 4th, 2007
One of my oldest girlfriends came down from California for a couple of days. So, of course alongside having to catch up on all the nitty gritty gossip from back home; we had to check out the social scene. As we were running out of the door with only fifteen minutes to make it to our lunch reservation; I saw the most adorable 14k gold plated, white resin and swarovski Austrian crystal studded bangle I had ever laid my eyes on laying on top of the armoire in my guest room. It was a piece from the new Disney Couture line Kidada Jones, daughter of the one and only legendary Quincy Jones, had designed that my girlfriend picked up from a Fred Segal shop in Santa Monica. Not to mention that the Alice and the Wonderland Bangle Bracelet also made an

appearance in
Jessica Simpson’s new music video- “A Public Affair”. I am completely crushing over this bracelet especially since I’ve already pieced together an entire ensemble around it- a white tunic with metallic gold trimming matched with a pair of Marlow Gaucho Jeans, an ‘Orlando’ cage sandal, and a fantastic matt gold Roberto Cavalli small tote. I’ve put in my order for the Alice and the Wonderland Bangle Bracelet at www.thinkher.com. After looking through some of the other pieces available it is no wonder that the party Kidada hosted at the Quincy mansion in Bel Air had such a good turn out with A-listers like family friend, Nicole Richie, Denise Richards, Adam Sandler, Maria Menounos, Rumer Willis, and Monet Mazur attending.

And you can take my word for it that it had nothing to do with the beauty treatment stations that featured Paul Starr makeup application, brow touch-ups from Anastasia of Beverly Hills, Byron Williams hair styling, and Michelle Peck facials which were open to all the attendees of the event. Okay it had very little to do with that! All in all, though, we can always count on Disney to add a little magic whether it is to an event or to your wardrobe!
