Making Up

Okay, today we are going to discuss some heavy stuff. Things to do with our relationships; specifically, about arguments that we face, but not to worry we are only covering the fun part of fighting- the making up. As we all know men mess up most of the time and then they come crawling back with bogus ideas on how to fix things; we have all heard this line, “I’ll do anything, honey, to make this right. Just tell me what you want me to do!” So, today we are going to come up with an answer to that exact question. I’ve asked several women to outline what they would consider the perfect peace offering when in conflict with their beau. This is what I got:
Late For An Important Date
You know how it is; you need to make a reservation or your parent’s anniversary celebration and your man is no where in sight. Although, it is incredibly annoying you have to let it slide because there are many a time that we are late because we were busy primping for the occasion. So, a simple peck on the cheek and sincere apology will be acceptable. Most likely he will be so grateful for your calm reaction that you will spring for some flowers and if you play your cards right a box of those chocolates you love so much.
Forgot An Important Day
It’s bound to happen; you can hint all you want but they will overlook a birthday or two and an anniversary. It has little to do with the fact that you are not important to them and more to do with the one thing that we are always nagging about- disorganization. There is no excuse, though, it is a special time for you and he should have been more considerate. So, because it is a fairly huge slip up and he already owes you a gift; glamorous AKA expensive items are fair game! Nothing says I’m so in love with you and even more apologetic than a designer handbag; I’m thinking Gucci- their new Small Boston Bags are to die for!
Liar, Liar Pants on Fire
We are all guilty of telling a few hundred white lies. So, lying is one of those things that fall in the grey area. Telling a little lie to get out something life draining is understandable because at some point in time we have done it too. But, for those lies that change the entire basis of your relationship you better make him pay up. Something from Tiffany’s is always nice. After all diamonds are a girls best friend right? Remember, though, ladies that no amount of shiny things can make you truly happy; so, if it happens to be something that you can’t live with than moving on will be better than tricking yourself into thinking everything is okay.
So, there it is some answers for that age old question. Oh, and if there are any men out there trying to figure out how to placate your gal try the above. We wouldn’t steer you wrong!
