Wide-leg It
August 24th, 2007
This wide-legged trend has been driving fashionistas everywhere loopy. So, I’ve done a
little digging in some of the most trustworthy fashion advisories to help us get this right. I’ve noted two variations of the wide-legged look: one ultra fem and the other masculine with a spin. Both equally yum!
The ultra fem is super easy to pull. You want to wear fitting tops that flaunt your curves. Something like a cute vest that you can tuck in- Victoria Secrets have got the best! The 70’s look is so coming back when it comes to wide-legged trousers. And as always when you’re wearing a vest choose a complementary collared button up to go under. Giving her hair that messy look and throwing on some long necklace preferably beads would perfect the look to the max. If you haven’t already noticed heels are a must with wide-legged bottoms- peep toes always do the trick for me! For the handbag I always go with something slender and smaller; Burberry’s new Supernova Shoulder Bag is the perfect size!
The masculine tux look that Chanel unveiled on the catwalk has become the thing to try! The Wide-legged trousers are paired with business jackets that have a poping bold colored blouse under. Actually, pairing a wide-leg with a tie-neck top is just perfect. It gives you that edge into the man’s world especially when the bottoms have boyish braces alongside that feel of feminine beauty. For this look keeping your hair tied back is ideal; frilly hair ascents are so for this look. My fav is to tie my hair back with a single embellished chop stick. It gives you that air of elegance! The handbag for this look should be a small hand wallet or wristlet; again Burberry’s newest collection is so awesome I don’t have words for it!
