Spring ‘08 De La Renta’s Way
September 11th, 2007
Upstate Georgian Church on Park Avenue had more glam in the past few days than it has even seen before! Oscar de la Renta held his Spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear Show here and attracted quite the fashion saavy faces of the industry to come scampering down! Oscar de la Renta, beautiful catwalk location, Spring 2008 Fashion on the mind…it makes for magic.
That is exactly what the audience saw at this unveiling! Beautiful simply understated ensembles with little quirks of boldness scattered about; oh it was brilliant! Had a few Safari jackets, big surprise there after taking a look through the other major designers I would have been shocked if it didn’t appear! Beading was prominent, and those cultural slash geometric designed frocks were just all too yummy!

That second black and brown Egyptian looking print is THE ensemble I have looking for all year! It will be the perfect match with my Fendi Magic Bag; of course it goes great with every off brown outfit I wear, but this is almost as though they were made for eachother. A match made in heaven! I’m so excited…yee-ay for Oscar and double yee-ay for Fendi handbags!
Lots of wear to work ensembles; a nice little gift for all of us working gals trying to mix in a bit of fashion into the corporate world! I’m not so sure about the feathered hats; maybe its just a timing thing. Come Kentucky Durby time I’m sure I’m going to be dying for these exact toppers; you see what chic starlets do to me!
All in all a fab new collection!
